it's a good comparison since both have played 7 years. i wish there were polls here but this will have to do. i'll take Johnson. Wayne had a great year but you need to take the whole 7 years and decide who you'd take. both have Pro Bowls, Johnson 5 and Wayne 2. both have First Teams, Johnson 4, Wayne 1.

another thing to consider is the other players. Wayne has always had a legit HB with the ability to catch passes in James and Addai. Johnson had Rudi with three good years but he's not a receiving threat and that makes all the difference when defenses focus pass coverage. running backs that can catch mean less coverage for receivers. last year Rudi missed a lot of games but had a solid 3 years rushing prior.

the O line is not comparable since Manning is usually the least sacked QB each year. of course that could also go to Manning's ability to get rid of the ball. then again, they've also had James and Addai go off at RB so i think the line is pretty dependable.

Johnson is the number 1 target on his team and gets that coverage. he has Housh to help out, and Henry when he's playing he missed 8 games last year and has been playing for 3 of Chad's 7 years. Housh didn't do much his first 3 years then had 2 solid years and the last 2 years were really good. so Harrison and Wayne are a wash with Johnson and Housh. Wayne has always had Manning, Harrison, James and Addai....Johnson has had Kitna and Palmer. Housh started playing really well the last 2 years.

now the Colts have Clark at TE and the Bengals have no one. Henry has had no more than 36 catches but he did have 9 tds a couple of years back. Stokley had 10 tds.

Manning is superior to Carson even though Carson is solid.

Wayne performed excellent in his first year as a real number 1 but it was only 1 year....Johnson has been a number 1 for 6 of 7 years. would Wayne put up the same numbers in Cinci as Johnson? would Johnson put up the same numbers as Wayne in Indy? i think Wayne would have close to his usual numbers from Indy in Cinci but Johnson would have even better numbers in Indy.

i think Johnson is faster, jumps higher, has as good of hands as Wayne and runs better routes....that's why i pick him. i think Andre Johnson is better than Wayne but plays on a crappy team.

let's hear it, i know Redsox will have his usual nonsense, which is why he's ignored but i want to hear from the other guys who actually know football.

Im takin Chad, he led the AFC in receiving I think 4 years in a row, hes a complete player does everything so damn well.

and he hasn't always had Addai, Addai is in his 2nd year. Clark hasn't always been this productive as well. so this guy does NOT know football, his explanations suck.

they are honestly pretty similar receivers...of course they have really different personalities but as far as what they do on the field theyre pretty similar.

Chad 6'1 190
Wayne 6'0 195

but they both play bigger than their size...

both guys pretty much run every route there is, they are as versatile as you can get and have great WR skills. Neither of em have that blazing 4.3 type speed but theyre deceptively fast and they will blow by you. Both are excellent with YAC they will pick up a lot of yards just catching a short pass and running with it not because they break a lot of tackles or make people miss like Devin Hester but just they have good field vision and body control know where to take it once they catch it and gain yards they find the creases...And as far as the numbers go they are two of the steadiest receivers you will ever find...

In the end I take Chad because I think he brings more big play ability to the table and if you look at recent seasons Chad has been the most consistent producer at WR in the NFL.

The only reason I think I take Wayne over Chad right now is because I think Wayne is better at going over the middle but I dunno...

remember when Chad toasted Bailey twice on Monday night football? that was nice. Bailey covers Harrison though when the Colts and Broncos get together.

You can't even compare them, Chad takes the best the defense has, Wayne doesn't. If you're not a Colts homer, I'm seriously questioning your football knowledge right now if you even considered Waybe for a second.

I dont think its much of a comparison..... Chad is everything Wayne is, and just a better athlete.
