Finally, LeBron James has a supporting cast.

In an 11 player three-team blockbuster trade, the Cavaliers acquired Chicago's Ben Wallace and Joe Smith, Seattle's Wally Szczerbiak and Delonte West before the trade deadline closed on Thursday, two league sources confirmed.

The Cavaliers sent Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Shannon Brown and Cedric Simmons to the Bulls, and Donyell Marshall to the Sonics. Seattle also gets the expiring contracts of Chicago's Adrian Griffin and Cleveland's Ira Newble.

The trade marks the end of the Wallace experiment in Chicago, where the $60 million signing two years ago never fulfilled expectations. He'll try to revive his career alongside James, who has been desperate for an improved supporting cast. Smith, a 6-foot-10 forward, has been one of the Bulls' most consistent players, and Szczerbiak gives the Cavs a consistent outside shooting threat to go with Daniel Gibson.

LeBron has to be happy. I think West will mesh good with James and maybe Wallace will step his game up now. Ilgauskas and Wallace playing at the same time though?

I dont know if they get much better from the trade cause they were already a pretty sound defensive team so i dont know if id rather have Wallace over Gooden. I like the Joe Smith part though. But I think Ben Wallace will mean more double teams for Lebron

no doubt it was a good trade, i dont think it puts them past celtics or pistons, they were already good enuff to be #3 in east talent wise, they wont get it done in playoffs though

I dont think this is a big trade at all for the Cavs... I just dont see it... D-West is the man though.

Player for player we got better IMO. We also got deeper off the bench (which is crucial come playoff time.) The fact is that Boobie is a better 1 than Larry hughes was. Andy V is a MUCH better 4 than Gooden was.

My only real concern hear is that we have been playing pretty good basketball with 2 of our top 7 guys out with injuries. I'm somewhat concerned about team chemistry, but we do have quite some time to gel.

In the end, I think it makes us a very strong defensive team.

SG - Szczerbiak/West
PG - Gibson

That's on offense. On defense. LeBron may guard the #2 if they are athletic, like a Kobe or someone. No way Wally can guard anyone that actually moves.

Also this lineup is only in place until Andy and Sasha come back, then:

PF - Varejou
SF - James
SG - Sasha/West/Wally
PG - Gibson

Ben Wallace and Joe Smith coming off the bench makes us a million times better.

SG - Sasha/West/Wally - In the summer let's trade these three, the #2 we got from the Bulls and a #1 for Vince Carter!!!!!!
