i think he added the score up wrong and thought you had it so the Pats win by 12 and not 14....my best guess

Ohhh. Okay. I under stand. I thought it was +12 that the Pats would win by. I made a rookie betting mistake. I get it now. So if I think the Pats will win by more than 12, I should bet on the -12?
