Debatable:
Tom Brady - ofcourse Romos awr isnt better than Brady's with him winning 3 superbowls and all but as far as overall tallent with the combonation of scrambeling, THP and THA I feel Romo has the edge.
Payton Manning - Same as Brady^^^^ but with more records
M. Bulger - I understand that Bulgers Oline is not holdin up for him this year but i still have to give the edge to Romo as being a better QB.
C. Palmer - The guy has a decent Oline and Great WR to throw to. You be the verdict of what the excuse is that you can make for Palmer.(Mobility is a key reason why in my eyes Romo is a better QB)
D. Brees - He is to inconsistent. Some games he looks like the best QB in the league then the next they can be beaten by a bad team.


Understand that there have been alot of QB's that i havnt mentioned on here. Some QB's have great AWR but lack the god given tallent that Romo has as far as scrabeling and buying time in the pocket. Understand that AWR has nothing to do with the QB's total package as far as buyin time in the pocket and scrabeling, it is more about reading Defenses and finding open WR's. Some of the guys above him simple lost their athletic ablity with age, while others might have bad team or the QB lacks throwing power.
Examples:
V. Testaverde (fell off due to age but still knows the game)
M. Hasselbeck (doenst have real down falls just lacks team tallent)
K. Warner (has superbowl MVP but is getting old)
S. Mcnair (Lost his THP)

my opinion is this: 93? too high. I say 88 -89. That's fair enough. I have to agree, Homo is going to something special for years to come. He's a very alert qb.

The only reason he isnt over 80 AWR is b/c his overall rating would be 99 along with brady and Payton's....yea they are better qb's but b/c Romo has speed it would make his rating to high....i dont think in the game of madden that the qb's overall rating should be effected by speed so that they dont have this particular problem....but yea i could work with him if he just had 82 AWR so 88, 89 or 93 would all be great for me

Yes sir i was trying say that this whole year. Now when Romo has proven himself his awareness still sucks. He is without a doubt the top 3 QB in the whole league and arguably the second best QB in the whole NFL. I hope EA fix this SOON!

Romo should have about 88-90 AWR, IMO.

Winning a Superbowl has nothing to do with how good an individual player is. A lot of GREATTTT players never won a Superbowl. Over half the players in the Hall-of-Fame didn't win a Superbowl. It has a lot to do with the fact that this Tony's 1st full season. Romo will be a 95 or 96 OVERALL, next year.

If he isn't, well my theory that EA programmers HATE the Cowboys will be proven ONCE AGAIN.

Of course he hasnt won a championship yet this is his second year starting. You obviously dont look at the stats I didn't say for sure that he's the second best QB because Brady is obviously first but you can make a strong case for him being second. In fact if you look at the stats he IS second and he is only getting better. standing at 33 TD and rush for 2 so in total 35 TD. Theres only two QB with about 30 plus TD thats romo and brady and they lead the two teams that is favored for the superbowl spot. sorry str8balla, good luck with AJ Feely or Kevin Kolb

good job pointing that out skittlez, Just cause he don't have a superbowl in his short two years starting don't mean he is not an elite. They praise Carson Palmer of one of the elite (not saying he isn't) but he has not won a championship either have Dan Marino or Jim Kelly. But I think that is just another excuse to justify or give a reason of why Tony Romo is one of the leagues best.

yea i hate Tony Homo but im a huge Cowboys fan.... I almost coughed up the $ to go watch that game....but Homo is deffinetly gettin screwed in the awr department....thats the only thing i would give him that he doesnt allready have (ps: I dont care who the press says hes with that bastard is livin the dream....i know 2 girls ((they are smokin hot)) that Homo has slept with recently....did i mentin it was at the same time. no he shouldnt havent higher awareness cause that would mean he would be a 99 overall and that would say he is as good as Peyton Manning and Tom Brady which we all know he is not. He is not even the 3rd best QB in the NFL right now. I'd be down for his AWR going up if they moved his speed down to a 73-75 overall. If they moved Romos awarness higher then an 80 I'd be pissed cause they never did that for Culpepper or McNabb when they had those amazing years and when they did move their awareness they moved their accuraxy and speed down. Same should happen to Romo.
