Agreed with Rowdy. I had high expectations for this album before the singles were released. I thought Wayne was going to step it up and dig deep and whip out what everyone knows he's got. Wayne has the lyrical ability but he isn't digging to bring it out. Carter III won't be anything special although everyone is going to ride all over it like it's the album of the year just like everyone is riding Lollipop.

my rims had a growth spurt, and yours just hittin puberty
and i think that means you just reached 16
while we shoppin lots where the drops come wit 6 screens
im not looking for super lyrical content
... and i dont expect lil wayne to bring 'real' lyrics
its not that serious to me...
if i want 'real lyrics', imma listen to a real artist
... not gonna sit there and complain about someone
ill just go listen to a rapper that has 'lyrical content'
when i listen to wayne
i expect a hard ass beat
and some crazy ass lyrics i would nvr think of
and have to stop and say..
hold up... what did this ngga just say?
"COMPARED TO BIG FOOT U JUST TWINKLE TOES"
huh?!?!?! wtf!?!?!
(thats what i look for when i listen to wayne)

Dude hit it right on the head....Carter II I htink will be better than this....neither CI or CII went platinum and I gurantee CIII will go double platinum.......and why would eh change if lollipop makes it all the way to 1 I personally hate the sone but peeps obviously dig it.
carter II didnt go platinum huh...ok? idk where you got your info from but its certified platinum. and yeah, wayne brings lyrics and verses you aint never heard, and delivers em all on a killer beat.

yea they did 1 song...not every song they're on now...so wayne seems to be the only 1 doing more then usual...
I look at it like this...if wayne doesn't please me with Carter III...I'm thinking he fell off...str8 up...and hopefully others will too...and stop trying to support garbage music just because of his name and past...In my eyes...if you like Lollipop, your f*ckin brainwashed...and your gonna like any song made by wayne...also it's mostly people in the south that don't know music...

I didnt say I "liked" it, but its not a bad song for the radio. He has to attract fans, and what better way than to come out with a song that all the high school kids and girls will love? He's about his money. And Im not basin it on his past only. He puts out so much material, that some of its bound to be garbage. And Im sure not all of it is meant to be put out, some of its leaked, or whatever. Im just sayin, Wayne's on top right now. I agree, the T Pain voice gets overplayed and annoying, but that doesnt take away from everything else he's doing.
Sidenote: Where'd you get this tracklisting? Ive seen like 10 since CIII was supposed to drop

that post wasn't directed at you...i was just saying in general...hov nas em are the top 3 alive...wayne can't claim best rapper alive if he puts out songs like this...he can claim best hit songs...good for him...I'd rather listen to a song with meaning...then a song about lollipops...I also still believe he stole the idea from 50's candy shop...and I didn't like that song either despite him being 1 of my fav. rappers...and if i had to choose...candy shop is better...
lollipop is for btches...litterally...no grown man should enjoy this song...
Sidenote: the link is up there

haha, thats what I said when he came out with lollipop, that it was a rendition of "Candyshop". And my bad, I thought that was just underlined, didnt think it was an actual link. I just think Wayne came out to attract fans to CIII, from people to listen to his mixtapes and all that, to people who didnt know who he was. A millie is tight, the unreleased verses are raw too. I think when CIII drops though, it's gonna definitely be worth the wait and the money for it. He's just expanding his fanbase is all

Btw, I would replace only one of your top 3, and thats Andre 3000 instead of Nas. Nas is raw, but IMO Andre got him beat. I just think Wayne is on top RIGHT NOW, based on all his guest appearances and his demand that he's been able to build

I'm still interested to see how many Wayne "fans" will buy this album. Because of his popularity you would think that this would be a lock to go platinum the first week, but I don't think the majority of rap fans actually buy cds anymore. Especially when it will leak one or two weeks before it hits stores.
