When non-blacks say that word it's absolutely ridiculous. Do they realize where that word formed? When slavery was taking place were Mexicans called *niggers*? That word refers to blacks and blacks only and any other race who uses it is a complete retard. Personally I don't even understand why blacks use it as it was an offensive slur to the entire black community and was only used to degrade.

the reason blacks use it is because in the days of slavery, their names were taken from them, and blacks were just "them niggas or those niggas" by their slavemasters, so eventually, they started referring to each other as that. as you can tell, the "tradition" still carries on today. I use the word, and take offense when I white person says it, but I also consider the context in which they are using it before I decide to politely give them a heads up or get into an altercation. People will always be people, and Nas' new album isn't helping. Not saying its a bad album, but everyone in the hip hop community, white, asian, black, whatever, is going to be using it.
