on ps2 unless your opponent was using manlock it was simple, but im having problems on ps3. pretty much all you had to do ion ps2 is watch the corners as they got setup, if they stuttered a little they were in man, if not, they were in zone. and you could also tell really easily if you setup in a tight formation.
The corner stutter doesn't matter. With man lock on, the cbs will move in a zone. Any good player will run man/zone combos against you anyway.
Run multiple routes that will beat man and zone and someone will get open.

Man it kills me when guys just dont play "football"....Im a solid player and it doesnt matter which console you playing on,the simple rule of thumb is no matter what the defense is doing, how they are aligned, just ALWAYS have one route in your play that can beat man(curl,in,out, quick slant)and a route that beats zone(post, corner,in route,drag)..this way no matter what D your opponents in,youll have a "hot read"just like QBs do in real life...Holla

true...but it makes things a little easier if ur tipped off wut defense the opponet is in pre-snap...that way u can make ur reads for zone or for man instead of snapping then reading and then deciding where to go...i understand where ur coming from but this is madden...lol...u cant tell me that on current gen u dont use coach cam to see if the defense is in zone or man pre-snap and go from there...

Like I said, you can't read presnaps. Good players change too much or use man lock/ zone lock to confuse people who try to make presnap reads
