why everytime i take control of my safety i get burn .


Is their something i,m doing wrong ?

if your controlling him pre snap just stay back and dont bite on anything underneath because its a trap and if you control him after the ball has been thrown use speed burst or practice swatting the ball. O and your saftey isnt like john lynch speed is he ? =)

I leave Rodney Harrison in sometimes and I hardly ever get beat deep with him. You have to play his deep zone assignment just like in real life. Make sure at the snap you are running back. If the QB is throwing deep, use some sort of a blitz of the edge or something to shorten his time to throw it.

im sorry did I see you call yourself the best defensive player on TML on another thread? You have to be absolutely awful if you seriously have a problem with getting burned when you are CONTROLLING the safety.

yes i said that but my def is base on blitz that come thru 95% of the time . i got skill on that part so i never practice use in safety . i,m trying to stop blitz on let my safty do the work , but its killing me . its like trying a new spot that u know nothing about

like I said, and I dont mean no offense by this, but if you cant stop the deep pass when controlling the safety youre absolute garbage...people who manually blitz on D get torn apart against quality competition....but yea practice with the safety for a while and youll get it and itll help your game a lot

nah not even. I cover up deep easy with Roy Williams out of the 46 and hes slow as balls, its just about making sure you get a good drop and watching your deep zone.

thats true too no matter how nasty ur stick is, if the other dude has a good stick himself he is gonna be able to get balls with Moss cuz no one goes up for jumps better than Randy, trying to go 1 on 1 with him is a losing proposition.

are you really trying to say that your stick is that nice that you can just go 1 on 1 with Moss no problem with a slow safety and not even swat it down but get picks???

Sorry, not really buying it....Maybe if youre using Cromartie or Pat Watkins or some ****....But I mean please your stick is not just that much nicer than anyone else. Ill tell you right now if Im playing with Randy and I see he is one on one with a safety I am lobbin that bitch up to him and I am getting position, taking that ball from the safety and taking it for a TD 9 times out of 10. If you go for the swat, then maybe it'll be more like 7 times out of 10, but Moss is a ****in beast he just jumps over you, gets it at a higher point than you possibly can. You can get away with single covering Moss a few times a game but please you cant leave him in single coverage like that unless whoever youre playing is ass.

If I can complete damn near automatically for big plays when Im 1v1 with the safety with Malcolm Floyd, TO, Vincent Jackson, Brandon Marshall and Javon Walker, Im pretty sure I can do it with Moss who is faster, jumps higher and has better hands than any of those dudes. I dont think Ive played with the Pats a single time this year lol but I used to play with him when he was on the Vikes and Raiders and yes I remember how ridiculous he is. Hes probably the best player in madden now that Vick is out....dont get me wrong though, keep a safety over the top at all times and a CB manned up and you can take Moss out of the game, although it will open up other things.....I guess all Im really trying to say is you dont respect your competition which tells me that you either just dont play anyone good and think youre better than you are because of it or youre just completely overstating your abilities....Cuz I dont care how good you are if you are going against another player of your skill level and you are giving him 1v1 with Moss, he has the huge upper hand.
