Rocket catch the strong side receiver because the SS is in the box. Out routes by the TE on the SS side if you have a fast TE and accurate QB. Come out in 4-5 wide sets and get WR on LB match ups all day long for easy yards.

who did you play against that was tooling you? i run the 46 exclusively and i'd like to know who was running it smooth.

The weakness in the 4-6 defense is the personell. The D has big bodys in their, so you would need to spread them out and beat them with speed. Screens work well vs 4-6 for the most part.

Which 46 formation? If it is the 46 Bear then I like to take advantage of usually only having 1 safety deep or runs to the left. 46 Normal I just try to take advantage of speed mismatches with all the LBs

i won't run Bear unless it's 2 or less receivers. i will run Normal against 4 wide with the speed package. you can run the 46 against all sets.

i like using the 46 normal with delayed bump n run...
dont really like the 46 bear...

love the 43 under...
and 3-4 normal to stop passing plays... (deep zones - with some adjustments)

i like that cross fire out of 3-4 also - with some adjustments before the snap also...

some plays out of nickel and sometimes dime flat when they are trying to get quick passes going...

I run the 46 whenever people come out in 2 or less receiver sets and I honestly think as long as you run the 46 and know how to make adjustements with it as far as moving the players around shading safeties etc there honestly is no weakness in the D.

i think 46 is horrible. it can't cover the flats at all, and the safety and the line is vulnerable to deep routes. if your playing the Pats and you run 46, you are vulnerable to getting dusted. 46 is soft IMO.

might as well play 4-3 then. it also gets softer against the run. when you fag in 46, it isn't as effective as fagging in 2-4-5 or 34.

i cover deep myself with FS, and if u move the SS into proper position, he stops the deep ball...its harder to use it against the Pats cuz of the speed they have of course...and yes u can cover the flats with the 46.
