I agree. And how about some trainers that rush onto the field when guys get hurt. Poor fools always have to struggle to their feel and hobble to the sideline on their own. Their own teammates don't even help them.

Re: Refs on the field and the chain gang
I want to see helmets fly off when theres a hard tackle or a devastating stiff arm. There should have chain gang come on the feild when its 4th and inches or a 1st down. What happened to the before the kickoff ***** where players are running through the helmet. Or when theres a rivalry game players push and shove after the play, more contact between wr and cbs.

Re: Refs on the field and the chain gang
I'm witcha dsr; I used to enjoy pre-game intros, even like on some older versions where the commentators talked about a key player on each team, or mentioned a key player who was out due to injury. There was a time when I was able to make it through the off-season by watching games on Madden because the game was so much like a TV broadcast.
For so long, EA has touted this "TV-style presentation," but '09 feels more canned than ever. Details like the ones we've mentioned here contribute to the feel of a pro football game. |

Re: Refs on the field and the chain gang
Yeah that was NFL 2K6, I used to have the game, they had a pre-game show, and a post game show. After the week is finished, Chris Berman is in the studio and goes over each game. When week 13 hits they show you the play-off races, and Mel Kiper joins Berman and goes over the top rookie prospects to keep an eye on.

Re: Refs on the field and the chain gang
they need to do exactly that just need to add depth like if a star player is injured they should talk aboult it, or if one team comes off a devastiting loss, or a overtime win they should discuss it. they should compare qb rb wr lb cb, ect. anything to make it look realistic
