creating playbooks

i would love for madden to let you create your own playbook, either by picking plays from any other playbook and putting them together, or creating new plays on your own, and being able to use them at least online and in franchise mode, but in the first year it probably won't be ready to go to all these serious tournaments and what not but we should get MORE scheming into madden, and the people maybe who have brilliant minds but lack a bit in stick can stay competitive, i think we'd see a whole new madden community, and i know this would probably bring crazy nano blitzes that are already set up and lots of glitches but if EA can somehow keep it under control i think this would be the best addition to madden ever

you know they already been doin this in the old maddens ... but what was so gay is that you cant take it off rookie so you couldnt really test your plays all that well .. i mean back when i didnt play online i dabbled into it lol

no i didn't know that.. they need to bring it back then! and let you test your plays against all-madden!

that is a cool feature and I did it on the 07 but like it was said only on the rookie mode. That is one feature that needs to be blown up cause if you could customize a book and use it all around on all levels and in tourney play too it would shcok the world.
Right now if I know what book you are using I basically know what to expect; as everyone else . But if you could bring 2 feat. plays from this book and that book and build from that format it would make the game that much more stronger and the leauges alot more competitive

I agree Making your own play book by picking plays/sets from all play books would be the best edition I can think of, and ya' it was in past madden's in fact it was in the '08 PC version. The only problem was you, of course, couldn't use it online and it didn't allow you to pick enough plays. I think you could only have 75 total plays and only 10 different sets and even if you only wanted one play from a set that took up one of your set spots. If they could bring that into 10 it would be the best madden yet by far and I don't see why they couldn't do that because the plays you would be using would be original madden plays not user created plays. This would also help with the fact that the Miami play book might be the only play book next year with Wild cat and since everybody will want whatever set that is in you could have that but if you didn't want to run with the Miami play book you wouldn't have to.

Im playing the ps2 version of 09, and my friends and I have multiple tourneys here locally. I made both, my offense and defensive playbooks. I find it taking 100% more skill then sending Moss on a streak and just throwing it, hoping you can get a rocket catch.

I love my playbooks. I love creating new sets and my own schemes around personnel, down and distance, etc etc...

We cant do that online yet..but i wish we could do something like that it would be super sick with it

Madden 08 for the gamecube had create a playbook feature but poor ai and barely any options to chose from killed it
