Hey guys, how's it goin?
My first post here, i'm a Madden PC'er who never liked Next Gen or Console pretty much ever, (in-fact i hated it) but...i've made the switch. Spent $340 on an XBOX blindly, forcing myself to go like console. I've been all over the Madden 10 news, and great job to the guys at Madden Voice for that interview with the developers. When it was brough up about only 1 Week at a time being open for play, not all 17 Weeks...and the Commish simming the games, it came to mind... Can you sim the game over and over until the correct team wins? Can you choose what team wins the sim win? or...once you sim the game..is that it? Because as you guys know, lets say KoachK plays KornStar that week and KoachK is out of town, we all know he can't play the game...so clearly K* gets the win, right? Well....does Online Franchise allow that? because, im thinking...if that's not possible then that is a HUGE disappointment. Thoughts? Last edited by cover3blitz; 07-02-2009 at 10:43 PM |

Re: Online Franchise
Thanks dude
I will say, it's going to be a lot more fun running a league on here than it is for PC, i have run a few Madden 08 leagues, and we have to do everyones depth and everyones FA's and so on....this will be a relief! lol I really hope the Commish can decide the winner in the type of scenario i mentioned. Also other things i liked/disliked that i heard - Wide Cam View (like long view in PC).... THANK GOD! i didn't find this one out till after i already bought my XBOX, this was my biggest beef with console. - Playmaker, glad that's gone - Co-Op, was VERY disappointed that you couldn't play 2 vs 2, the term "online" Co-Op was kind of miseleading, even tho it's technically still online since you team up with someone online. Should be fun, i wonder how long i'll suck for before i get used to it all. |

Re: Online Franchise
i say kick KoachK out the franchise for not being a committed player and going 'out of town'.. **** that.. thats why they having computers and iphone apps.. so REAL committed players can **** w/ depth chart and every other **** w/o having ps3 on.. but the only time you gotta be on ps3 is when u got a game.. how hard is that to follow?
lol im sorry but thats jus my opinion

But seriously, to answer Cover3blitz's question; I think Commissioners would have Administrative rights to award the game to the owner who made the most effort to get the game in. The definition of "who made the most effort" would be totally up to the Commissoners of that particular league though, of course. As for the EAFL, we will have franchise leagues added to our current roster of leagues, and we have years of experience dealing with those types of scenarios. -Welcome to TML Cover3blitz!

I have played in Franchise lg's since 06, the Commish can sim the game to the team he decides should get the win, in most cases it goes to the one that is most active in trying to complete the game...

Re: Online Franchise
Sconn, -You're thinking of WAY too many "what ifs" regarding this situation. If you play in a highly organized league with fair and experienced commishes, all those hypotheticals go by the wayside. The point is that the game must be played by a set date, and both owners are obligated to make all efforts to carry that out. If one owner cannot or will not fufill their commitment, then an appropriate FINAL decision for that game would be made. -No "rewinds" here.
You sound like someone that would appreciate a league like the EAFL; if you're interested in applying, just click on the picture in my sig. -Thanks and welcome!
